Simple Minds to Release New Live Album from 5x5 Tour

Simple Minds to Release New Live Album from 5x5 Tour -

A new live album from Simple Minds has been announced with the Scottish outfit currently putting the finishing touches to the new double-CD, reports Slicing Up Eyeballs.

The new live album project has been compiled from this this year's '5x5 Live' European tour which saw them each night performing five songs off of each of their first five albums 'Life In A Day', 'Real To Real Cacophony', 'Empires and Dance', 'Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Calling' and 'New Gold Dream' (81, 82, 83, 84).

As of yet the only details the band have revealed were via their official Facebook fanpage, which said:

'Spent last night listening to GG's final mixes, what a fine job he did. Anyone who liked the 5×5 shows is bound to appreciate this soon to be released collection. For those who could catch not the shows, this collection taken from various shows in a handful of cities will let you hear what went on. Hope you like it.'

There is still no scheduled release date, however a listing on Germany's Amazon.de states that a 2CD album called '5X5 Ltd' is due on Nov.19.
