Abbey Road Opens Doors to Fans

Abbey Road Opens Doors to Public -

The historic Abbey Road Studios are to once again open their doors to the public.

The recording studio in North London will be hosting talks in the iconic Studio Two, which has played host to recording sessions by The Beatles, Kate Bush, Pink Floyd and Oasis.

Earlier this year (2012) saw a similar event held at the studio as part of the station's 80th anniversary celebrations.

The next batch of talks will take place in March 2013 and will once again be hosted by Brian Kehew and Kevin Ryan, who were behind the book acclaimed 'Recording the Beatles.'

For those who attend there will be a score sync demonstration and vintage 4-track mixing console and tape machine demonstration, attendees will also be shown how the iconic echo chamber functions.

Rare photographs from the EMI and Abbey Road Studios archives will be on show, as will a host of vintage recording equipment used by many famous artists.
