Motley Crue Guitarist Mick Mars Floored by 'Fan' at Canada Show
Motley Crue Guitarist Mick Mars Floored by 'Fan' at
Canada Show -
Motley Crue guitarist Mick
Mars was left floored on Saturday night after an audience
member stormed the stage during mid-performance.
Mars, who has suffered from Ankylosing Spondylitis since the age
of 19, was knocked down by the stage invader who also grabbed
singer Vince Neil before being tackled by security men and kicked
in the head by Nikki Sixx.
The Crue was performing 'Primal Scream' at a show in
Canada when an audience member managed to evade security and
clamber on the stage running straight into Mars, who was
celebrating his 62nd birthday. Mars later reported his personal
guard Rhyno had suffered two broken ribs.
The show was halted as the band's techs and roadies restrained
the 'fan' and picked Mars off of the stage floor and helped him
off. Drummer Tommy Lee shouted:
"What the fuck is wrong with you, you fucking idiot?" Neil
told the crowd: "We might be back," before disappearing. After a
delay they returned and finished the show.
Yesterday Mars tweeted:
"Thank all of you for your concerns about me being knocked
down last night. I'm alright; nothing broken. My bodyguard Rhyno
got two busted ribs."
