'The Joe Brown’ Concert and Soprano ukuleles have been designed in conjunction with the legend himself, well known throughout the industry as a ukulele aficionado, so creating instruments that lives up to his exacting standards is no mean feat. However Joe was delighted with the results. "These ukes are fine instruments, with perfect intonation” says Joe, “and I’m happy to lend my name to them."
The Concert model (LK-JBC) has a solid mahogany top, with mahogany back and sides, whilst the Soprano (LK-JBS) is all-solid acacia top, back, sides and features maple binding. Both models and feature nato necks, rosewood fingerboards and super-stable Grover machine heads for precise tuning. A multi-instrumentalist, Joe Brown MBE has been in the music industry for almost six decades and is respected and admired as a 'musicians musician' by a wide variety of artists. By a strange turn of coincidence this isn't Joe's first involvement with JHS as he cut the ribbon to officially open the old JHS premises in Garforth's Main Street back in 1974.
The Soprano ukulele is supplied with a deluxe hard case whilst the Concert model comes in attractive hard wearing padded gig bag.
