The band have now released two lyric videos for the tracks. Watch below.
The band, who will play this year's Olympic closing ceremony alongside New Order and the Specials, were debuting their first new music since 2010.
The quartet, led by Dr Dee creator Damon Albarn, played two songs -Under the Westway and The Puritan - from a rooftop in West London.
The performances were streamed via the band's website and the social networking site Twitter.
The "Westway", part of the A40 road through West London which was also mentioned in the group's early hit For Tomorrow, can be seen in the background as the band play.
Between the songs, the band undertook a Twitter question and answer session with fans, during which they confirmed that the new tracks would be included in their set for next month's Olympic closing ceremony.
