Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Anthrax Receive Grammy Nominations -
Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Anthrax are among a clutch of hard rock & metal acts that have been nominated for the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance in the 55th annual Grammy Awards.
The trio will join Lamb of God, Marilyn Manson and Halestorm in the category for the accolade which is traditionally awarded before the main ceremony is broadcast.
East London heavy metal elders Iron Maiden received their very first Grammy in 2011 for track 'El Dorado' which features on their fifteenth album, 'The Final Frontier.' The 2013 nomination is a first for Anthrax, however fellow thrashers Megadeth have now been nominated eleven times, but are stil yet to win.
The 55th annual Grammy Awards will place on February 10 2013.
