Mudhoney to Release 'Live in Berlin 1988' DVD - A new live DVD featuring Seattle sound pioneers, Mudhoney has been announced and is set to hit shelves on Nov.13 via !K7 Records.
The concert DVD is made up of newly discovered footage of Mark Arm and co as they tear through a 40 minute set at the Berlin Independent Days festival in 1988 at what was known as 'the first grunge gig in Europe.' Front man Mark Arm previously said on the historic Berlin set saying: "We couldn't understand quite why this was happening, why ours was the band that was flying out, or what was going on. We'd only played Portland, outside of Seattle, at that point. And to be flown out to Berlin to play a show, at that point, seemed almost like a joke to us." The DVD, entitled 'Mudhoney: Live in Berlin 1988' will feature the full festival set plus bonus interview with Arm. The track listing is still yet to be announced although the performance featured material from the then-unreleased 'Superfuzz Bigmuff' EP and their self-titled debut album.
