Fender releases its production line Cabronita Telecaster, an affordable version of the Cabronita Telebration series guitar, featuring Fideli'Tron humbucking pickups.
The new Cabronita Telecaster still retains the features that made the limited edition model so popular - a single volume control, distinctive 3-way pickup switch, modified pickguard.
The alder body version is available in two finishes - 3 color sunburst and black, while the Ash body version is available in White Blonde finish.
Certain changes have been made to the original to attain the affordable pricetag, most notably the Fideli'Tron humbucking pickups. These pickups are probabl just affordable clones of the original TV Jones Filtertron pickup that the limited edition model came equipped with. These Filtertron pickups are more commonly found on hollowbody Gretsch guitars. The Fideli'Tron pickups mimic the punchy and twang of the classic Filtertron pickups.
Chrome hardware rounds up the features of the MIM Cabronita Telecaster, with a strings-through-body hardtail bridge and Fender standard tuning machines.
The Limited Edition version was priced at $2,499, the new Fender Cabronita Telecaster is set to retail for only $699.99 in the US and around £500 in the UK
